Whatever is the political aspiration, good cause must be supported – said Padman actor Akshay Kumar

Akshay kumar, who seems to criticized for making his political associations with the movie Padman, spread that a good cause like menstrual hygiene needs to be supported, whatever is the the political aspiration.

The actor reacted on twitter, when a user sharp out that how Akshay Kumar was making his “political associations and aspiration to obvious” with Padman, which spin around the topic of menstrual hygiene.

“A good cause like menstrual hygiene needs to be supported regardless of the political association or aspiration,” tweeted Akshay, who underlined the need of eradication of open defecation in his film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Padman directed R.Balki, is a story of Aurnachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu based activist who transformed the idea of menstrual hygiene in rural India creating a low cost machine to make sanitary napkins.

With Akshay Kumar as a lead role in Padman, Radhika Apte plays his wife. Actor Sonam Kapoor is also seen as a special character in the movie, which will hit the screen on February 9. It was earlier going to release on January 26, in order to stay away from clashes with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. Akshay delayed the release of his movie two weeks, in order to safeguard a smooth release for the high controversial movie Padmaavat, starring Deepika Padukone & Shahid Kapoor.

Now, Askhay Kumar’s Padman will clash with Siddarth Malhotra starrer Aiyaary, which is scheduled to hit the screen on the same day. Let’s see who will win, Akshay’s Padman based on Menstrual Hygiene or Siddarth’s Aiyaary which is a political thriller.
