Row over Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM and blink at Congress MPs.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi lambasted the NDA government and Prime Minister Narender Modi on multiple grounds during a debate in No confidence motion initiated the opposition with an intention to topple the Modi Government in the Lok Sabha. During the proceedings, Rahul Gandhi gave his speech and after his speech, he did something that hasn’t been done yet in the history of Indian polity. He left his seat and approached the PM and gave a hug to PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM Modi shocked and surprised everyone present in the Lok Sabha.
In an almost one hour long speech in the house, Rahul Gandhi seemed very vocal and fierce in levelling the allegations against the BJP. Amongst the various issues he took a dig at govt, Rafal aircraft deal, soot boot ki and jumla wali Sarkar, demonetization, and farmers distress were the prominent ones.
While the government refuted all such allegations citing them baseless and wild. Rahul Gandhi was also heard saying, “ I know I am Pappu for you, but I don’t have any anger against you”. After his speech got over he walked across the wall of the house to hug Prime Minister Modi and followed it with a wink at Congress MP. In the history of Indian parliament this was for the first time when a member of the house was seen hugging the prime minister in a sarcastic manner.
Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM was not only condemned the leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party for breaking the rules of parliament behaving in such an immature and childish manner, but also the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan also seemed displeased at such behaviour of Rahul Gandhi and urged the lawmakers to maintain the dignity and sanctity of house.
