The union finance minister of India Piyush Goyal presented the interim budget 2019 on Friday. The interim budget 2019 does not list any new schemes or new policy measures in view of the upcoming elections. The final budget will be presented only after the house reassembles after the 2019 general elections.

- The most important point of the interim budget 2019 was that there will be no income tax r people earning up to five lakhs per annum.

- The standard deduction has been raised from forty thousand to fifty thousand for salaries persons.
- The TDS threshold has been raised from ten thousand to forty thousand. This is for interest on bank and post office deposits.
- The TDS threshold has been increasing for rental income as well. It has been increased from 1.8 lakh to 2.4 lakh.
- According to interim budget 2019, IT processing of the returns filed had to be done within a time frame of twenty-four hours.
- All farmers with less than two hectares of land will be given six thousand per annum.
- An indigenously developed semi high-speed train called Vande Bharat will be launched.
- Over the next five years, one lakh digital villages will be planned.
- Indian filmmakers will receive a single window clearance from now on.
- A National Artificial Intelligence portal had been planned to develop very soon.
- The government plans to open the twenty seconds AIIMS in the state of Haryana.
