Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 20: U Mumbai versus Haryana Steelers
The twentieth match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 was between U Mumbai and the consecutive losers, Haryana Steelers. U Mumbai got a double win over the Haryana Steelers. The Steelers lost with a score of 42-32.
On the bright side, the captain of the Steelers, Mony Goyat, regained his form. He achieved 15 raid points in the match. He made 21 raiding attempts. This was a very good percentage.
But support was missing. Both Vikas Kandola and Naveen failed miserably. They managed to amass just 4 and 2 points, respectively.
There were a few moments of hope for the Haryana Steelers. Monu Goyat really tried to fight back at every opportunity he got. He was consistent throughout the match. But alas! His teammates could not support him well.
The Steelers’ defence was poor, as usual. Only Parveen showed some promise. He came in as a substitute. He scored 4 tackle points. This was achieved his 2 super tackles.
The current performance of the Steelers is reflective of the fact that they are not fit to be a contender for the playoffs. This fact will remain true until and unless a drastic change in their fortune is brought about in Pro Kabaddi 2018. They will find it quite difficult to make it through the knockout rounds.
U Mumbai, on the other hand, was on the winning side throughout the match. A magnificent performance was displayed the raiding trio of Siddharth Desai, Rohit Baliyan and Abhishek Singh. Desai scored 15 points. His awesome performance has allowed him to become the fastest raider to reach 50 points in the history of Pro Kabaddi League.
U Mumbai’s defence was great as well. They scored 11 tackle points in total. Cover defender Surender Singh contributed the most with 3 tackle points.
