WHO report on swachh bharat. The Swachh Bharat Mission was inaugurated on 2nd of October 2014. Its result is now visible to everyone with a positive result in our country. This is the biggest mission of the present working government. Initially, it was impossible. But due to the hard working of the government and the full cooperation of people, it seems possible. The government initiative “SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKASH” is working very effectively. On 2nd of October 2019,it is the 150th birth anniversary of MAHATMA GANDHI. We will gift a” clean and green” India to him.
Every year due to diseases caused open defecation and sewage contamination in drinking water, many died. In the latest report released WHO, the SBM-G will result in preventing more than 3 lakh death due to diarrhea and protein-energy malnutrition between Oct 2014 to Oct 2019. There is a decrease in open defecation and an increase in toilet coverage from 45% in 2014 to 89% till August . Many villages and district are declared fully ODF. So, WHO report on swachh bharat.
Due to poor spread of awareness and less interaction of government with the people the previous mission on cleanliness “NIRMAL BHARAT ABHIYAN “did modestly increase in the number of houses with latrines and had a little effect in reducing in open defecation. There was no improvement in the health of children.
The way ahead
This is not the work of the individual but it is the work of the whole country. It then only lead to clean India and green India. As we all know that cleanliness is the only solution to stay away from the disease.The WHO report finds the 199 million cases of diarrhea annually and many of them died. So It is the responsibility of each and every citizen to become a part of this mission. That’s why WHO report on swachh bharat. It makes our earth once again clean, green and bright as it was in the past.
