Woman SI found murdered in police transit hostel in UP’s Bareilly
A women inspector has been brutally killed in a police transit hostel in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. The city woke up to a sensational murder of a women police inspector whose body was found from transit hostel at the police lines here on Wednesday. The officer was killed brutally as her face was crushed with sharp stones after strangulating her. Her body has been sent for the postmortem.
The victim, Rina Kumari 42 ,was the native of Amroha district and she was posted here at the police lines. She was married to a (PAC ) provincial armed constabulary constable but later ,got divorced. She had a 15 year boy from the marriage – who studies in Delhi.
Rina might have struggled for life while battling with her killer as her belongings were out of place. It appears that the assailants took her mobile phone with them. Police didn’t deny that someone very close to her would have killed her.
The incident came to light when sub inspector Manoj Verma, who was Rina’s neighbour, returned home and found her door open. He called out to her and when there was no response, he peeped in only to find the SI lying on the floor. Her skull had been smashed.
DIG Rajesh Kumar Pandey said police are investigating the case from all angles.
Muniraj G said that they have setup two teams under supervision of SP (city) and SP (crime) . “She had been on leave for some days. We are investigating the case from all angles and very soon the culprits will be in police’s not,” SSP said.
Police said that the deceased cop had property dispute with her brother.
Rajesh Kumar Pandey claimed that the outsider will not be allowed inside the premises and recently, she had got 52 beegha land from her father so land dispute and family feud could be reason behind the crime.
