We all know about Mahatma Gandhi, what sacrifices he did for our nation. Popular with many names such as Bapu, Mahatma, Gandhi, Father of the Nation, his original name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. His whole life depicts pain and sacrifices for the nation. He fought against Britishers, through the weapon called Non-Violence.
He always follows his own ideologies, some people won’t agree with his ideologies. So, in the today’s modern world we are remembering Gandhiji with some great Bollywood movies made on his life.
1) GANDHI
Film ‘Gandhi’ was released in 1982, Directed Richard Attenborough and starring Ben Kingsley as Gandhiji. The cast also includes Om Puri and Rohini Hattangadi. This movie depicts the biography of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. It tells about the fight against Britishers, that was started Gandhiji through the tools called non-violence, Peace, and sacrifices.
2) Lage Raho Munnabhai
The most entertaining movie of 2006, Directed Rajkumar Hirani starring Sanjay Dutt as Munnabhai and Ashrad Varsi as Circuit. This movie tells about, a don hopelessly falls in love with a radio jockey but lies to her about being a true Gandhian. Although he ends up hurting her, he also undergoes a change and genuinely begins helping people. This movie proves to be the blockbuster hit of that year. People still watch this movie.
