After the appeal of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has stopped her standing dramatic protest against the CBI. Naidu said that 23 parties have appealed to Mamata Banerjee to end the protest. He has come from the 23 political parties who participated in the rally on 19th January. DU students protested against new UGC norms. The protest was held on Wednesday in the Arts Faculty block of Delhi University. It took the form of a hunger strike.They protested against norms rerequiri PhD and MPhil candidates to score a minimum of 50% in the entrance test to be eligible for admissions. The protest, scheduled to last the whole day from 8 am to 8 pm, consisted of more or less 20 students. They had stationed themselves outside gate 4 of the Arts Faculty block.
