Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 39: Puneri Paltan vs Gujrat Fortunegiants
The 39th match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 was fought between Puneri Paltan and the Gujrat Fortunegiants. Puneri Paltan really wanted to win this one. They had lost the last two consecutive matches and strived to get back into the game. Gujrat, on the other hand, had all the intent to continue on their win streak.
Both the teams were relying upon their defences. The score was level at 5-5 in the sixth minute. Puneri Paltan’s defence was able to send Ajay Kumar and Mahendra Rajput to the bench to get a two-point lead. But Gujrat did not suffer silently. Sachin scored 2 points from his next raid and Gujrat’s score rocketed ahead.
Sachin continued on with his amazing form. Gujrat inflicted the first all-out of the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match. This was done with six minutes remaining till half-time. This extended their lead to six points.
Puneri Paltan responded very aggressively. They sent Ajay Kumar and Mahendra Rajput to the bench once again. The halftime ended with the scoreboard reading 12-16.
Both teams were clearly relying upon their defence. Ravi Kumar did a successful Super Tackle on Sachin. Puneri Paltan finally made a comeback with a two-point difference. Only with three minutes to go in the game, Mahendra Rajput executed a super raid. This brought down the difference to 5 points. Puneri Paltan tackled Rohit Gulia in the last minute of the match. Sachin scored a Super-10. He also inflicted a second all-out for Pune.
Puneri Paltan lost this match due to their lack of coordination and team sense. Puneri Paltan suffered their third consecutive loss. They really seemed lost in the absence of their regular captain, Girish Ernak The Fortunegiants, on the other hand, have made it a habit to outsmart Puneri Paltan. Gujrat won with the scoreboard reading 27-37.
Gujrat will be fighting against Jaipur Pink Panthers in their next Pro Kabaddi 2018 match.
