Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 11: Haryana Steelers versus Gujrat Fortunegiants
The eleventh match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 was Haryana’s first match on their home turf. They have proved themselves here. They won the match and achieved victory. They beat Gujrat Fortunegiants.
Monu Goyat debuted as the captain of the Haryana Steelers. This was his first match of the season. And amid all the pressure, he managed to score 7 raid points. He was supported well Naveen who managed to get 5 touch points from his 11 raid attempts.
But the star of the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match was the young debutant, Kuldeep Singh. He is an all-rounder. He was brought into the match to fill in for the huge space left Surender Nada after his injury. Kuldeep’s performance must have made Nada proud. He scored an astonishing 7 tackle points on his debut. He also had excellent coordination with the right corner man, Sunil, who scored 3 points.
On the other hand, the Fortunegiants displayed a clear lack of discipline and coordination in their defensive manoeuvres. The defence managed to rack up only 9 tackle points. Out of these nine points, five of them were brought in their captain, Sunil Kumar. On the left corner, C Kalai Arasan was given another start but he failed to score a single tackle point for the second time in a row. Right corner, Ruturaj Koravi’s performance was also quite disappointing. He scored just one tackle point out of 4 attempted tackles.
It is quite obvious that Kalai Arasan will be replaced in the next match. The experienced Hadi Oshtorak should be brought in to cover the left corner.
From their side, K Prapanjan was the star raider. He scored 9 points from 15 raid attempts. He was supported Sachin who scored 6 raid points.
