The announcement regarding the fare and flagging of the new Train 18 have been announced and the country is super excited. The new Train 18 is a semi high-speed train. It will undertake its maiden journey between Delhi and Varanasi via Prayagraj and Kanpur. Our prime minister Narendra Modi will flash off the new Train 18 on 15th of February.

1.) The new Train has basically two classes. These classes are the executive class and chair car. What is new is the fact that both classes will have differently priced meals.
2.) The passengers who are travelling from New Delhi to Varanasi in executive class will have to cough up three ninety-nine bucks for morning tea, breakfast and lunch. However, the passengers of chair car will be charged three forty-four bucks.
3.) The meals served on the new Train 18 will not be optional. This is a break from the trend of the trains like Shaadi, Rajdhani and Duronto express. In these trains, the passengers can choose not to avail the catering services.
4.) The new Train 18 will also be known as the Vande Bharat express.
5.) The train is a prime example of Make in India. It was developed indigenously Integral Coach Factory or the ICF. The train is self-propelled using electric tractions similar to the metros. With this, the replacement of the existing train fleet of the Shatabdi express will begin as well.
This new semi high-speed train is indeed a gift for the nation. Especially for those travelling from New Delhi to Varanasi and vice versa. The route of the train also covers important stations like Prayagraj and Kanpur this reducing a bit of the load on other trains.
