USA against India’s S-400 deal with Russia

The Trump administration has recently warned India against its S-400 deal with Russia. The S-400 is Russia’s most advanced long-range surface-to-air missile defence system. China was its first foreign buyer. India and Russia signed a $5 billion deal last year in October regarding the same. India will get S-400 missile between 2020 and 2023

India will be obtaining the first squadron of the advanced S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile systems. This missile system is being bought from Russia. It will be obtained from October 2020 onwards with all the five squadrons slated for delivery April 2023.
