Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 71 – Gujarat Fortune Giants vs UP Yoddha
The 71st match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 was between the Gujarat Fortune Giants and the UP Yoddha. This was another match on the home ground for Gujrat. They were looking to rack up their wins. But with 3 losses to their name, UP Yoddhas were desperate to turn their fortune around.
5 minutes into the game and Gujrat Fortunegiants had back to back successful raids. The raids were conducted Sachin and the tackling department was managed Parvesh Bhainswal. The scoreboard read 7-3 in their favour. The Giants tackled Rishank Devadiga. This left only 2 men on the court for the UP side. In the very next raid, Don Geon Lee too a touch point on Sachin Kumar. Vishal Chaudhury was tackled soon after. This led to the first all-out of the night being inflicted on the UP Yoddhas. This happened within the first 9 minutes of the game. The score was now 12-4 in favour of the Giants.
Just after the Yoddhas had returned from the first all-out, Rishank Devadiga was tackled immediately. He got a sprain on his left ankle. He was sent to the bench for the rest of the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match.
With 3 minutes remaining till halftime, UP Yoddha tried to fight back. They started executing back to back tackles. But the Giants were not ready to leave give up their 10-point lead. Despite the efforts of the UP Yoddhas, the score was 19-10 with the Giants boasting a 9 point lead.
After halftime, the Yoddhas fought back with full force. After a few successful raids, the scoreline was 20-14. Their defence was back into action as well. The Yoddhas fought vigorously and inflicted an all-out on the home team. They received a 1 point lead.
Shrikant scored a Super-10 and Nitesh Kumar did a High-5. The score was 27-all.
With only one minute remaining, the Giants came back into form and won the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match with a score of 37-32.
