mamta banerjee rally modi against Modi Hatao, Desh BachaoBreaking News News

“Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao”- Mamta makes her intentions clear.

“ Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao ” or “Remove Modi, Save the country”.

Mamta Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC) seemed all set for 2018 general elections when “Didi” as she is called announced the above slogan. TMC is going to launch a week-long campaign later this year with their main slogan being “Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao”. The party observes 21st July as Martyr’s Day to pay homage to the 13 youth congress members who were allegedly killed in police firing. It was on this occasion that she was addressing a rally that made her stand in the upcoming general elections very clear.

The West Bengal chief minister asserted that TMC will win all the 42 seats from West Bengal in the Lok Sabha. She took several jibes at the Bhartiya Janta Party while criticising its policies as well as leadership while addressing her mega rally. Mamta addressed the issue of mob lynchings and attacked BJP in her statement “they are creating Talibanis among people”. “In BJP & RSS, there are good people whom I respect but some are playing dirty games,” she also added.

Didi also took several jibes at the demonetization of high-value currency notes opposing it and saying that it has left the government “Faceless”. While talking to the journalists she also asked why no report on demonetization was tabled in the Parliament when it passed two Bills, despite disruptions. “The country is not safe under his leadership. On the slogan of Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao, we will have campaigns across the State,” she said. “Now, Alibaba and four aides are taking all decisions, even the Finance Minister doesn’t know about it. Only God knows what is happening in the country. They are bulldozing the people, the country and even their party [the BJP],” Mamta Banerjee said.

Mamta Banerjee and her party seem all set for the upcoming general elections. They have their slogans, their campaigns, their rallies, their strategy and most importantly their target planned out. All that is left is the execution. One thing, however, seems to be very clear, the issue of mob lynchings and the still debatable failure or success of demonetization are going to the main points that other parties will use against BJP.

Mamta Banerjee does not seem like looking for a coalition right now and neither is BJP as far as West Bengal is concerned. It will be interesting to see what the voters decide in the highly awaited 2019 general elections.
