Indian Actor of American Origin – Padma Shri Winner Tom Alter Died On Friday
The Padma Shree award winner Tom alter died today, he was fighting with skin cancer. He was admitted to Mumbai hospital earlier in September. He returned home on Thursday, and take his last breath on Friday night.
In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor of India
Alter’s son Jamie had told that the actor was suffering from squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. Last year, Tom Alter had got his thumb amputated due to the condition.
According to Jamie “Tom was fighting with cancer till his last breath.” He was a very brave and kind-hearted person.
Tom alter was an American origin actor. He worked in very well known television series like ‘Bharat Ek Khoj, Zabaan Sambhalke and Betaal Pachisi’
He was also known as a great actor on big screen. He contributed the best roles in Bollywood movies like Gandhi, Shatranj Ke Khilari, Kranti, Aashiqui, and Parinda.
