Bahubali added to the list of great achievements of the ISRO
In what can be called another one of the great achievements of the ISRO, the pride of India has launched India’s heaviest rocket successfully from Sriharikota. Scientists have named this heaviest rocket “Bahubali” and the rocket has with great success placed the highly sophisticated communication satellite GSAT-29 in the Earth’s orbit today.
The countdown for the launch started at 2:50 pm on Tuesday which was followed a successful launch of the rocket on time scheduled that is 5:08 pm. The launch took place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre adding to the list of great achievements of the ISRO.
The cyclone Gaja was expected to soil the plans but fortunately, it did not affect the launch relieving the dedicated scientists who are the actual hero of the country from all apprehensions that they held since the countdown.

ISRO’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV Mk-III-D2) took off from the rocket port of India, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh off the coast of the Bay of Bengal. One of the great achievements of the ISRO, the vehicle is on its second developmental flight.
Sriharikota, on the other hand, stood witness to the sixty-seventh launch from its soil. The GSAT-29 is the thirty-third communications satellite created our scientists and is complete of Indian origin. With a weight of exactly 3423 kg, the advanced communications satellite has been placed in the orbit to provide better internet connectivity especially in the remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir and North East India.
The rocket was built over a period of fifteen years with its launch costing at least INR 300 crores and is a gem in the list of the great achievements of the ISRO. The satellite that the rocket carried has a rare laser-based optical communication that ISRO will be testing for the first time.
The chairman of ISRO, K Sivan said that the entire credit of the success belongs to the team of ISRO scientists dedicated to the project. It is a fact that as long as we have these superheroes dedicated to our development as a nation, we will always be able to hold our head high.
