The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Home Affairs on “LWE related issues” on 29th August 2017. While addressing the consultative committee meeting convened to discuss LWE-related issues, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Maoist violence had steadily declined since 2010, with incidents down 53% and deaths down 72% between 2010 and 2016.
