#MeToo: Tanmay Bhat & Gursimran Khamba Should Not Be a Part of AIB till the monitoring goes
After Tanushree Dutta had come up with allegation on Nana Patekar, #Metoo movement is all started taking a serious note on the social media platforms. A few days back a girl tweeted about sexual allegation on Utsav Chakraborty, who was associated with AIB.
Tanmay Bhat is facing accusations that he did not act on complaints against Utsav Chakraborty. When everything comes up straightforward on the internet, two days ago Tanmay Bhat apologise for associating Utsav Chakraborty with AIB. The whole issues were messed up on the internet, no one understands for what reason they are tweeting. After all, this is associated with the comedy industry, many big faces come up and supported the movement or allegation.

Today, AIB posted a statement saying that Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba will step down from AIB till the monitoring goes on. Rohan Joshi and Ashish Sakya will handle AIB till their absence.

“We have been closely monitoring the sequence of events on social media around the allegations against AIB and also against our co-founder and CEO, Tanmay Bhat. We cannot overlook Tanmay’s role…” AIB said.
Gursimran Khamba was also blamed for #Metoo sexual harassment, but later he has given a specified statement on Instagram that, “He agreed on every single thing but he denied any violation of consent”

On Gursimran Khamba, AIB said the allegations were, for now, related to a private matter. “However, as an organisation, we believe it would be prudent to place Gursimran Khamba on a temporary leave of absence until we have more clarity,” said AIB.
AIB is now consulting an expert to make their organisation & industry free from such sexual harassment, as they said, “We understand that disconcert of any kind adversely affects the work culture and creates an unsafe space for our employees. Nobody should have to work in an environment like that…”
AIB is an institution for comedy industry and taking such a hard step proves that they care for the industry and making every single step to bring the change. Let’s see what they do next.
