In the thirteenth match of Pro Kabaddi 2018, the Telegu Titans were pitted against the UP Yoddhas. The battle of the raiders was a very intense one. It was a battle between Rahul Chaudhari leading the Titans’ attack against the UP Yoddhas raider trio.
It was the Titans’ defence that proved to be a decisive factor in the match. The Telegu Titans won the Pro Kabaddi 2018 match with a small margin. Their score was 34-29.
In the arena of raid points, both teams scored almost equally. The Titans scored 17 raid points while the Yoddhas scored 16 raid points. On the Titan side, Rahul Chaudhuri racked up 9 points and was well-supported Nilesh Salunkhe with 5 points. On the Yoddha side, it was Prashant Kumar Rai and captain, Rishank Devadiga, who each managed 7 points. The final member of the attacking trio of the Yoddhas, Shrikant Jadhav, scored only 2 points from his 11 raid attempts.
The defence was strong with the Titans. The corner duo of Abozar Mighani and captain, Vishal Bhardwaj carried their team forward. They scored 6 and 4 points respectively. They were well-supported Anil Kumar. Surprisingly, Rahul Chaudhuri also earned 2 tackle points for the team.
On the other hand, the defence of the Yoddhas was frankly, lacking. They showed a significant lack of coordination and strategic prowess. They failed to defend the team as a unit for the second match in a row.
But there still were quite a few improvements. Young Nitesh Kumar scored 3 tackle points. Sagar Krishna showed drastic improvement as he managed to score 4 tackle points out of his 5 attempts.
