Pro Kabaddi 2018: UP Yoddha and Puneri Paltan emerge victorious
A great start to the competition was witnessed on the second day of the Pro Kabaddi 2018. Puneri Paltan and Up Yoddha were victorious on this day. They beat Haryana Steelers and Tamil Thalaivas respectively in Chennai.
The first match of the day was completely one-sided. Puneri Paltan completely dominated the Haryana Steelers. The scoreboard displayed 34-22. They registered their first win in Pro Kabaddi 2018 Season VI in Chennai on Monday.
The Tamil Thalaivas, however, did not shine on their home turf. They lost their second match to the dominating UP Yoddha. They were beaten a score of 37-32.
The start of the first match looked good for Haryana as Vikas Khandola scored the first point of the match. After that, both teams stole 4 points each to play an even game. Puneri Paltan had been timed out and Haryana was leading 6-5. But they kept on fighting and with the help of a review, led 9-8. The Paltans were given a super tackle as Nitin Tomar managed a point. The Haryana Steelers were all out. And with that, the Paltans formed a huge gap of 13-8. At half-time, the Paltan looked good with a six-point lead. The Paltan did a second all-out on struggling Haryana and soon won with a score of 34-22.
The match did not look promising for the Thalaivas from the start as Ajay Thakur began with an empty raid. UP, on the other hand, began very well. They took a five-point lead at the start of the match. Into the half-time UP had a 14 point lead. It was a one-sided first half. The second half was no different. The domination continued. The Tahlaivas strived to make a comeback but alas, they were beaten UP Yoddha.
