India trumps against Pakistan once again: Asia Cup 2018
With 6 sixes and 24 fours, India has once again defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2018 match. India defeated their rivals with nine wickets. They were able to chase down the score of 238 within 39.3 overs. This is their fourth consecutive victory in the Asia Cup 2018. They seem to be completely unstoppable and an utter menace to anyone who stands in their way.
Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bat. They were pretty cautious at first, owing to their complete defeat and decimation at the hands of India in their previous stand-off. Pakistan’s initial play was quite promising. They made fifty runs in the first fourteen overs. But from there, it mostly went downhill as wickets starting falling at an amazing pace.
There was a break in the fall of the wickets, which allowed them to steadily climb to a score of 200. But the break in the fall was not long-lived. Wickets fell in quick succession again. Pakistan went about with increasing their score at a snail’s pace. At the end of the 50th over, their overall score was 237 runs for 7 wickets.
India’s start was not at all flashy in any sense, until it for to the fifth over in which Rohit Sharma hit a six and sped things into momentum. He also got a new lifeline when the most definitely caught-out catch was missed the Pakistani fielders. He was on fire from then on. India achieved a quick 50 in the tenth over. It was also an easy 100 for them in the 19th over.
