PM Modi on controversial Netas: Firm and Unforgiving
PM Modi has recently shocked state party leaders. His strong criticism against BJP heavy-weight Kailash Vijaywargiya’s MLA son, Akash has unexpectedly confronted the state party leaders. PM Modi did not explicitly take Akash’s name. But he made it clear who he was referring to. He said that such leaders, “no matter whose son”, should be expelled, along with those who support them. The state party leaders are expecting stern action against leaders involved in such controversies.
The entire thing that happened with Akash was quite shameful for the BJP. Videos of Akash attacking Civic Staff, Kailash ticking off news reporters, BJP leaders hurling despicable abuses at the IMC and police and the celebratory firing BJP workers after Akash’s bail have gone viral. Several BJP leaders and MLAs had supported Akash. They even congratulated him with garlands when he was released from prison. PM Modi made it clear that he was very displeased with the conduct demonstrated the BJP leaders. He went as far as saying that the people who welcomed him should also be expelled from the party.
BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola, party legislator Mahendra Hardia, corporator Chandu Shinde and BJYM leader Sumit Mishra are among the foremost leaders who had welcomed Akash. Mishra was the one who had enthusiastically led the public abusing of police and administration. City BJP President Gopikrishna Neema and former MLA Jeetu Jirati were also involved in the celebrations.
When being asked regarding the PM’s statement, all of them remained silent. They eagerly cut the conversations and acted as if they had no information regarding the statement.
